Project week in Kraków

This week was a very interesting week for me. I had a lot of fun in mostly an educative way. For sure this week did make some movements in the development in my studies.

On social front this week was amazing because I came in contact with a group full of new, interesting and nice people. I had such an amazing time with them. It is always interesting to have conversations with totally different personalities. I had a lot of conversations with students out of our group. All of them were older, since I was the youngest of the group, some of them had another nationality and some follow another study. I am honoured to say that most of this persons have learned me things I will remember me for the rest of my life. Everyone have other ideas and interest in life, you have to respect them all but more important is to stay how you are.

Another thing this trip have learned me is how important it is to control the English language. Especially for the reason that we had visited two companies with a good reputation worldwide and one of the conditions if you want to work for them is to be a native/ fluent speaker of the English language. So if you want to be successful in the world of business abroad, then you have to make sur that your English is almost perfect.

When we had the company visits at Heineken Global Shared Services and Alexander Mann Solutions, I have learned a lot. For example how important it is to speak English like I said before. But we also got some tips for if when you are searching for a job. Firstly is it important to have a linked inn account which have to show the activities you did before to show where you good at. Then, again, languages are important requirements to show. Every company appreciate honesty; a business will always check a (future) employee, so they will always find the truth. The last, but maybe also the most important tip we get at the company visits is to always be yourself, so keep this in mind.

Most of the employees we spoke with at the visits began in the company in a ‘simple’ job. They worked hard for their career and as well as HSGG as AMS give their employees the opportunities to develop their selves. Furthermore, the employees of HSGG and AMS give us the real-life example that hard work loans.

The last thing I have learned this week where I am going to tell about is something our guide in Auschwitz told us. And I think this is an important lesson in life. She told us that how we life today, in freedom, riches and all the other thing that become a matter of course for us, is not that normal as we think. That will say; do not think that everything is life is just ‘normal’, always be thankful for every new day, and life live for the fullest because you will never know what tomorrow will bring..

The task of this activity was to describe the link between the project week and my studies as well as the development in my studies after this week.

The main activities in my essay where visiting the companies, Alexander Mann Solutions and Heineken Global Share Services as well as we visited Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The result of this project week is an essay with some points that are important for the development in my studies, but more important an amazing experience.

I reflect back on an educative week with a lot of fun and cosiness.

T Transfer

After the project week I have made some progress in the development of my studies. The main reason therefor is that I was impressed after the company visits to AMS and HGSS. This creates a real idea of a career path for me, which was one of the goals I wanted to reach in this portfolio.
